The Network of the National Library of Medicine welcomes community-based organizations working in health-related fields. Whether your organization provides services to people living with HIV or you provide outreach services for a local community group or you are a substance abuse counselor, you can benefit from being an NNLM member.
- Learn about trusted health information resources that can help you educate clients and people in your community, keep up to date with the latest advances or find materials that you can share and learn from. Resources provide accurate information on popular health-related topics, and many are in English and Spanish. Many also contain infographics, handouts, posters and social media toolkits that your organization can use.
- Attend NNLM classes and training on health topics. Classes are held online and many offer Community Health Education Specialist (CHES) credit.
- Apply for funding opportunities sponsored by the NNLM’s regional offices and available in your local community.
- Join a reading group, order print brochures and materials, host an NLM Travelling Exhibit.
- Network with other NNLM members in your community.
