In the first 30 minutes of this session, we will hear from our team of guest speakers - with clinical, medical library, research and education expertise - will present the results of their work identifying the availability and suitability of online health information for women with Mullerian anomalies (congenital anomalies of the uterus prevalent in approximately 7% of the female population). This will include an overview of the condition, findings from an extensive audit of online information, and an analysis of the patient suitability of that information. The team will also describe health information insights revealed throughout their process that, while specific to this particular health condition, are likely applicable to a range of other patient populations with less commonly diagnosed conditions.
In the first 30 minutes of this session, we will hear from Janet Anderson, the Library Director of Minot Public Library. Janet will discuss the issues with these pests in libraries and describe the thorough policies and procedures created by Minot Public Library to deal with such infestations.
Janet will also describe the research conducted by staff on preventing and treating bed bugs and how they can impact a library. While dealing with bed bugs can be a huge pain, it's something that anyone can manage with a little patience and some knowledge.
Following the presentation and Q&A, there will be an open meeting for members interested in meeting with or asking Region 4 team members questions.
Join NNLM's Region 4 along with two guest speakers to discuss the role health information access has on Diabetes Education for people who are deaf or hard of hearing.
