The work of NNLM Region 5 is guided by the needs our membership. In order to better serve the needs of our geographically sprawling, diverse membership, we collaborate with representatives from NNLM member organizations spread across our region, who have firsthand knowledge of the needs of their communities.
Executive Committee
The Network of the National Library of Medicine (NNLM) Region 5 Executive Committee advises NNLM Region 5 Executive Director Kathryn Vela on the strategic priorities and needs of Region 5 academic health sciences libraries, academic medical centers, and health information stakeholders. The committee members serve as NNLM ambassadors to advance initiatives on health equity, health literacy, and data-driven health. Membership reflects the rich diversity of Region 5 and consists of eight individuals with representation from Alaska, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, and U.S. Territories and Freely Associated States in the Pacific.
