(Buncum, Johnnetta) 2023 NBNA Conference


The National Black Nurses Association is a non-profit organization which represents 308,00 African American registered nurses, licensed vocational/practical nurses, nursing students and retired nurses from the USA, Eastern Caribbean and Africa, with 115 charted chapters in 34 states. NBNA chapters offer voluntary hours providing health education and screenings to community residents in collaboration with community-based partners, including faith-based organizations, civic, fraternal, hospitals, and schools of nursing. The Annual Conference provides nurses with up to 23 CEs throughout the duration of the event. Also, offered are Career fairs, Innovation Theatres, exhibitors showcasing schools of nursing and health systems and more, Scholarship awards, networking, NBNA Summer Youth Enrichment Institute, and a Mentoring in the moment Buddy Program for new attendees.
