Project CORDS: Making Health Happen
Making Health Happen is a pilot program designed to provide health education and health screenings to rural, underserved and marginalized communities in Southern West Virginia. Making Health Happen goals are to increase access to health screening and referrals for health services, build a Culture of Health and Health literacy among rural populations and rural residents. Making Health Happens recruit health resource vendors, social services agencies, and community resources to participate in these health screening events with the goal of creating opportunities for resources to network, collaborate, and partner on other events in underserved communities.
