CT-NAHN aims to improve the capacity of under-served adolescents and 87 to locate and integrate reliable health information so they can make informed health decisions. The overall goal of the proposed project is to work with youth in Fairfield, New Haven and Hartford counties in CT. and enhance their access to local and national health information resources. We also want to improve the capacity of their teachers to incorporate health information resources and health literacy best practices into their classrooms. Our hope is that we will not only impact the youth we are working with, but also empower them to be able to help others in their families, among their peers and in their communities to access reliable health information, enabling more informed health decisions among various diverse and vulnerable populations.
